Perry Flint Perry Flint is editorial director of the ATW Media Group and editor-in-chief of Air Transport World, the leading monthly magazine serving the global airline and civil air transport manufacturing and support industries. He also has oversight responsibility for the daily news content on the magazine’s website, ATWOnline.com.

Perry has written extensively about many aspects of the airline and related industries, including political and regulatory, legislative, operational, commercial, financial, safety, environmental and technical.

 As a recognized authority, he has spoken to numerous organizations and trade groups around the world.  He also has appeared on television and radio to discuss news and current events affecting the industry.

He was the 2001 recipient of the Royal Aeronautical Society/World Leadership Forum "Aerospace Journalist of the Year" Award and in 2002 was honored by the RAeS for his article "Close Up on Cabin Health." He was short-listed as Aviation Journalist of the Decade in 2006. Perry received an award from the RAeS in 1996 for an article discussing the real-world economic benefits of Future Air Navigation System (FANS) technology. 

Perry began his reporting career in 1984 as associate editor of Commuter/Regional Airline News.  In 1986, he was named editor of Airline Financial News, an affiliate publication.  He joined Air Transport World in 1987 as finance editor.  He was named executive editor in 1994, became editor-in-chief in 2002 and assumed the additional role of editorial director in 2006.
