Electronic Invoicing

E-Invoicing allows trading partners to exchange invoices and related documents electronically eliminating the need for paper invoices and streamline or even completely remove the associated manual processes.

To facilitate the adoption of e-Invoicing, a global patform called "IATA InvoiceWorks" has been developed, as well as industry invoice standards to allow partners to exchange data and reduce costs.

Invoice Data Standards

Adoption of industry data standards can drive efficiency and cost reduction for all stakeholders.  This is particularly relevant in the area of electronic invoicing and provision of supporting details.  Invoice standards deliver substantial benefits to both the buyer and supplier of services.  IATA coordinates several work groups and task forces that develop and maintain invoice data standards for various industry segments.
